The launch of a postgraduate programme in Cosmetic Chemistry in cooperation with The Faculty of Chemistry of the Warsaw University of Technology has been an important event for the Academy. The new postgraduate programme is very popular with graduates both from our Academy and from other institutions.

In order to help in the improvement of professional skills and to ensure the conformity with EU standards that promote strong links with the medical profession in the field of health care and health protection, and in recognition of the holistic concept of health care in modern spa establishments, we have also launched a new two-semester Spa & Wellness postgraduate programme.
In the coming academic year of 2009/2010 we also plan to launch a new two-semester postgraduate programme called “Cosmetology in Medicine” (in cooperation with the Section of Aesthetic Medicine of the Polish Medical Association). The Cosmetology in Medicine programme is addressed to all medical school graduates (holding the title of Medical Doctor) interested in cosmetology and aesthetic medicine.

The postgraduate programme offers a comprehensive  interdisciplinary curriculum that covers the following fields: qualities of cosmetic products, effects of cosmetic products, active ingredients, recommendations and methods of usage of cosmetic products and finally methods of effectiveness evaluation. Furthermore, the students study legal aspects of the use of cosmetic products and learn to evaluate the actual effectiveness and usefulness of cosmetic products on the basis of the information provided on the product label.
